Mom, Dad, Anya, Mikey, and I went to the Dodgers game on Saturday night!!! It was a great game against the Rockies!! It went 14 innings!!! EEK a 5 hour game!!! Sadly, the Dodgers lost 7-4 but they played them again on Sunday and won....so I guess I'll survive the disappointment!!!

Smoky Skies

There has been a large fire raging to the southwest of Bakersfield and we have been inundated with smoke and ash from the fire...ugh!! However it made for pretty interesting views. I couldn't quite capture how vividly pink the sun was behind the smoke but it was beautiful!!! This picture was taken at about 3 in the afternoon and it was not stormy at all, all the haziness is from icky smoke!!!

Manhattan Beach

We spent two wonderful days in Manhattan Beach, CA watching AVP volleyball!!! Awesome!!! As a belated anniversary trip it was perfect!!!

I was over at the coast a few weeks ago visiting my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins that live over there. It was so beautiful and so much fun to see everyone!!! We went to dinner at McKlintocks, a popular restaurant on the beach for my cousin Will's 24th bday. They're especially famous for their steak but also for the tricks the waiters perform...such as pouring water blindfolded standing on a chair into a glass balanced on a patrons head!!! Talk about faith in a strangers abilities!!!

A few weeks ago we were in Arcadia, CA for a family reunion for my maternal grandmothers side of the family. My grandma is originally from Germany, yet we had a Hawaiian themed reunion!! Go figure,...crazy Krauts!!

My friends Hannah and Vince welcomed Huntington Elisha into the world on Aug. 8th at 11:01 pm. He was 9 lbs even and 21 inches!!! I can't wait to meet him!!

hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates. i've been really lazy lately about taking pictures. I do have some cute ones from Carters 1st bday party but i think his mommy has cuter ones on their blog. meanwhile i've just been enjoying my last few weeks of summer vacation before school starts back up again. i'm not looking forward to chemistry this semester, it's probably my least favorite subject...give me biology any day!!! lorens been really busy with work which is a good thing since he's got to put his slacker wife through school but not so fun for me, luckily renee is my lunch buddy on days she isnt working!! she keeps me from reading barnes and noble out of business!! we're headed to huntington beach this weekend for a belated 3 year anniversary trip. loren surprised me with tickets to the avp volleyball tournament that is being held there this weekend!!! woohooo!!! maybe i'll have some pics of that for next week!!
