WA Trip Photos

We drove into Seattle on Monday to do some sightseeing before we flew home that night.
We went to Troll Ave. and saw the Fremont Troll which is underneath an overpass of the
99 freeway. I'm not sure what the story is behind this guy but he sure was fun!!!

Loren climbed to the top of the Troll while Trese and I stood on his knuckles!!

The Space Needle

Loren and I toured this fireboat the last time we were in Seattle.

Loren, Josh, Trese, and I toured Seattle's Underground. Pretty interesting stuff.
The original founders of Seattle weren't the sharpest tools in the shed when they built Seattle on mudflats. After a fire burnt 30 blocks of the city in the mid 1800s the city officials raised the streets 30 ft. The original first floors of all the shops are still below ground.

The original bar and restaurant where the tour begins.

Josh, Trese, and I waiting for the tour to begin.

These glass blocks are actually skylights originally intended to shed light on the
underground levels. You see them all over the older parts of Seattle and would never guess what they were for until you see them from the underside.

Cow Drop Cookies sounded too appetizing to pass up!!

Looks like you had a nice trip to our beautiful state. We have always wanted to do the underground tour, maybe we should some day, we have heard it is cool.
