Loren and I got to hang out with Carter for a bit on Loren's bday! We went to dinner at Olive Garden where Loren and Carter shared Lorens birthday cheesecake and then we went shopping at toys r us, carter helped me pick out Lorens presents!!

Bite of Las Vegas....Brrrr

It was a cold and windy night on Saturday, we went to Bite of Las Vegas at Desert Breeze Park......40 somethin booths showcasing food from restaurants around the valley and musical entertainment from many well known bands, would have been fun except for the wind!!! Luckily dunkin donuts was giving away coffee!!! the line was huge but the hot drink made it worth the wait. We specifically went to see Lifehouse....we waited for them for hours....(ok hour and a half) and then....they didn't end up doing the show because the wind was sooooo bad the stage and the lights were unsafe...wimps...lol...sooooo we left....very disappointed!!! maybe next year will be better!!!

Overwhelmed and Underenergized

The queen of procrastination has ascended her throne this weekend. I didn't get anything done that i wanted to or even was supposed to. I think it must be the vacation looming ahead. It's the same feeling I got in high school at the beginning of my senior year....senioritis i believe its called. No work can actually be accomplished with the end so near. It doesn't matter that it's midterms and I should be studying, or that the water heater went out...I just want to play with my lil cutie "nephews" and watch football or baseball or do anything else but what i'm supposed to do. For instance...at this moment I am in the school library...."studying" my lab manual open on my lap while i am updating my blog with this "ultra important" news....any ideas on how to get motivated???? 11 days til CABO!!!!!

Roughin It

We had an awesome camping trip with Kev and Jess over Labor day weekend. We went to Panguitch, Utah not quite 4 hours from Vegas. Was very pretty and was a nice change in scenery and weather...even though we had quite a bit more rain than we wanted. Luckily my husband was more than prepared with enough blue tarps to build us an ark if it became necessary!!!

Hmmm, pics with a timer dont always turn out the way they should...however we wanted to capture the 9 course meal that Jess prepared....(spaghetti and cheesy bread...yumm)
