Double B's...Bike Ride and Branding

Kevin, Brian, and Loren went for a bike ride early Friday morning.

So early they got to watch the sun rise!

The annual Grant Ranch branding took place this Saturday, we had plenty of help

as you can see and we got done just before the rain started luckily!!!

We had some wranglers from the Tejon Ranch come and help out and

they were a lot fun to watch rope. Some of them were competitors in

the National Finals Rodeo that's here in Vegas every year.

This is Clint, one of the wranlgers from Tejon, he was roping injured if

you can see the bandage on his finger. He got it caught in the dally,

which is when they wrap the rope around their saddle horn after they

rope the calf. The rope did some serious damage to his finger but he

toughed it out like a true cowboy....

Home Sweet Sweet Home

Happy Birthday to my Sistah!!!!!

After dinner we went to the Bakersfield Jam game. The Jam is a farm team for the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors. It was pretty exciting to see Gerry McNamara all time leading scorer for Syracuse playing for the Jam. Also, Loren was excited to find out we were playing Idaho which is the farm team for the SEATTLE SUPERSONICS!!! Also the Utah Jazz, but who cares about that right? So, the player above, number 18 Sene was drafted by the Sonics. He was sent down to the farm team to get a little experience but he was really really good!!! Also we were at a table right down on the court so we got an up close experience!!! You never realize how huge these guys are til ur right next to them!!!

We went for a torturous bike ride on Saturday, Loren and I definitely realized we

need to get out more!!! It was tons of fun though!!!

News Flash!!!

The breaking news at the moment is the fire truck out in front of mom and dad hansens house. I came home tonight to flashing lights and about 6 firemen gathered around the mailbox out front. Not just any ol' mailbox, but a melted, smoking, charred mailbox!!!! What is this you ask..? If only we knew!!! However, the cause remains a mystery. The firemen asked if we had seen any suspicious looking, nefarious mailbox exploders lurking around today. Sadly (or possibly luckily) I didn't encounter any such characters (if I had I would have taken them out, and I do not mean out to dinner!!!) See what you miss when you're not here? that'll teach me to go to school, I could be out innocent mailboxes who were just minding their own business from the evil clutches of the unknown mailbox assassins. We'll be watching for them!!!
